The Club was instituted in 1885 by the merchants, trades people and members of the Partick Burgh Council. The span of membership now greatly exceeds the boundaries of Partick and continues to play an active role in preserving the Immortal Memory of Burns through its annual supper in the West End of Glasgow.

The supper showcases the works of Burns in poetry and song combined with educational reflections on the life of the Scottish Bard, all served with the best of Scots cuisine.
